Building Energy Rating (BER) Assessment & Certification

A BER certificate is necessary for all homes being sold or rented. All new homes (even when not for sale) must have a BER certificate before they are occupied.

Irish Energy Assessors provides quality-assured BER Certificates at competitive rates.

So What Will the Assessor Be Looking At In My Home?

Irish Energy Assessors will assess over 60 criteria in your home relating to its building fabric, including: walls, roof, windows, doors, insulation, ventilation, air tightness and heating systems.

BER Assessment For New Homes & Developments

New dwellings can be assessed directly from the plans. Existing dwellings require a house visit and survey. All certificates issued by IEA will accompany an advisory report of cost-effective recommendations to increase the energy performance of the dwelling.

Part L BER

Irish Energy Assessors are regarded as one of the most experienced companies in providing Part L Compliance checks and Building Energy Rating (BER) on domestic buildings in Ireland.

It is now a requirement when submitting a request for planning permission that you show the building will fulfill the minimum energy criteria as set out within the Part L Technical Guidance Document.
